We are approaching the Still Point of the sun on the 21st of June, the Solstice. The energies affecting us from our blessed celestial friend are turning. In the northern hemisphere we pass through mid-summer and in the southern hemisphere we pass through mid-winter and we all experience a switch in our energy system.

As we approach mid-summer, we can run out of inspiration because of the rushing energies of growth have burned us up. As we approach mid-winter, inspiration for the coming year has yet to manifest within us as we are still in the hibernation period.

The energies of the Still Point allow us a certain type of freedom. It is the freedom from direction. The freedom from push and pull. The sun is not pushing us into spring and summer, or leading us into autumn and winter. It is just standing still and allowing us to feel a sweet release from being driven in one direction or led in the other.

The Solstice is the time to let go and do nothing in particular. Just sitting, being and allowing the stillness to open you to inspiration. Become an empty vessel so that you can become filled with Inspiration and Direction.
