Emerald Heart Practitioner Lynne Shaw shares with us details of her Gathering held recently in New York. Lynne uses voice as a tool in her work.  We hope to hear more from Lynne on how she developed and uses such an amazing gift in a future post.  Thanks Lynne.

The latest Gathering was filled with so much light and energy it was amazing to behold. Six of us gathered at my apartment and I was guided to anoint each person’s feet, which caused much consternation as people removed their socks somewhat reluctantly because they had not had a pedicure for a while.  It was so delightful seeing how the simple act of baring one’s feet could bring up so much resistance.

As I came to each individual a few words of a song came through.  Words that were part of a whole song for the group yet for each one I came to there were words that had a particular resonance I felt for that individual.  After reading the Emerald Heart Mantra we went into a deep meditation.  The Guidance that came through to be delivered during the meditation was about how there is no more time.  We are the ones we have been waiting for.  It is time to be all you can be for this is your divine purpose of your time here. We are enough if we just have the courage to embrace our individuality and bring our individual gifts out into the world.

As I was going further and deeper into the meditation I kept hearing the words of a song.  It was my turn to feel reluctance.  I did not want to impose another song on the Gathering. Also, because the song is about parenting and I am not a parent in this lifetime I did question this.  However, after re-checking that this was the song I needed to sing for the guidance and growth of those present, I took a deep breath and sang this to the group. The fabulous American acappella group Sweet Honey in The Rock composed the melody; it is set to words by Kahlil Gibran from his book The Prophet.

Here are the lyrics:

Your children are not your children.
They are the sons and daughters of Life’s longing for itself.
They come through you but they are not from you,
And though they are with you they belong not to you.

You may give them your love but not your thoughts,
They have their own thoughts,
They have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in a place of tomorrow, which you cannot visit not even in your dreams.

You can try to be like them but you cannot make them just like you,
Try to be like them but you cannot make them just like you.

After the song the heat in the room intensified and in sharing a couple of the women wanted to know why I was singing that song just for them.  The Guides of the Emerald Heart knew what was needed.  It really was incredible to witness.

We then shared where we are on our path and the challenges we are working with.  After explaining that the Emerald Heart Essence is able to be programmed by individuals to dissolve target issues or fears, three people bought the Emerald Heart essence to program at home.  How wonderful to see people stepping into empowering themselves by working with the Light of the Emerald Heart in this way.

It was a very profound Gathering and I so look forward to the next time we meet to find out how everyone is progressing.
